The kings from the Czech Republic then flew a standard colored flag of a bar of white on red which stood for the white lion on a red field. After the first World War a new flag was under discussion and a blue triangle was added. These were the standard colors recognized as customary Slavic colors and so each flag from Russia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Sloventia, Croatia, Serbia and ex-Yugoslavia all used the same colors in their flags.
