As soon as the pack ice has disappeared, engines are fired up on the fishing boats loaded with crab pots and out they venture to the vast waters around Conche, Newfoundland.
There are many different sizes and types of crab pots but these particular ones are most often seen in Conche Harbour. The other boats along the dock with Bromley's Venture are all loaded with the same type of crab pots awaiting the first good day.
