Coastal Ocean Biomes

The planet is made up of 6 major biomes and the Coastal Ocean areas belong to the Ocean biome of the world.

Also known as the Coastal Ocean Biome, the inter-tidal zone connects the land to the ocean. Because of varying tides, in the coastal ocean biome the landscape changes frequently and dramatically.

A variety of marine animals live along the inter-tidal coast, well adapted to the many changes and brutal rough tides that come along. The more rocky coastal biomes are less likely to host a vary of marine animals because the ocean tides may not always reach the tops of the rocks.
