The town of Sorbas, in the Province of Almeria, is about 480 meters above sea level, with the Rio de Aguas flowing through the valley below.
The road to the town branches off the main road, and is cut into the cliff quite a few meters down from the villas. Many of the people of Sorbas (Sorbenos), are potters and have workshops in the Barrio de las Alfarerias. The pottery is made with the local clay and is excellent quality.
