Although the main entrance is in the old town of Cadiz in Plaza de la Catedral, a view of the the massive building can be seen from along the waterfront. The main dome (cupola) which features golden-yellow tiles and is one of Spain's largest, stands out from along the bay as do the two Neo-classical towers which frame its facade.
