The Val d'Aran, or the Aran Valley, can be found in the northwest area of Catalonia in Spain. It is not a very large valley, just over 620 square kilometers, but it has spectacular cascading waterfalls and an abundance of wildflowers such as the yellow buttercups.
The Val d'Aran in Catalonia, Spain is situated on the north face of the Pyrenees and is the headwaters of the Garonne river which drains into the Atlantic Ocean.
