A jet of cool, clean tumbling water cascades over the side of the cliff in Waikato, a region on the North Island of New Zealand. The waterfall is 55 metres high and surrounding the falls is a number of trails that can be walked and hiked by visitors so that they can enjoy the natural splendor.
There are two areas at the top of the waterfall that have good viewing platforms so that visitors can look down from the top of the falls to the pool below and enjoy the 55 metre height. At the bottom of the falls you can get an excellent view of the power of the water coming over the side, and you can enjoy just how beautiful the natural surroundings of the falls are. The rocks around the pool at the bottom are mostly sandstone, and over time have been worn away to form a natural rock pool at the bottom.
