share to Facebook In America, the Bison is usually referred to as Buffalo, and although they do both belong to the same Bovidae family, the Buffalo actually refers to the Asian Water Buffalo or the African Buffalo, and they are not exactly the same as the Bison.

These Bison are found in the Bison Enclosure in Riding Mountain National Park, and this is an area where they are protected from threats from the outside world.
