Auckland Zoo

A great family destination for locals and visitors to Auckland, New Zealand, the Auckland Zoo plays host to many species of animals from the native New Zealand tuatara to the tall giraffes and lazing lions all the way from Africa.

As much a refuge for some endangered or vulnerable species of animals, the Auckland Zoo is New Zealand's largest zoological garden and is home to over 135 different species of animal and more than 770 individual animals.
