Thermal pools are spread out in the Artists Palette at Orakei Korako near Taupo on the North Island of New Zealand. The Artists Palette is made up of over 120 pools with some of them being close to geysers that drain the water until the pools look empty and in an instance they can be filled again.
To get to the pools in the Artist's Palette, you stroll along paths that lead to the viewpoint from above and pass various holes that are bubbling with steam.
