Other purchase options for Arizona Highways United States
There are a variety of highways throughout Arizona in the United States but the Historic Route 66 which was once the main highway, is considerably quieter since the construction of other highways. Now this route is an alternative road that takes you through some of the historic towns like Seligman and Ash Fork.
When Route 66 was the major route for all the migrants who were heading west, the small towns were full of life and the economy did well. It was officially taken off the United States Highways list in 1985 and a lot of the towns did not survive. Ones like Seligman and Ash Fork are still very active as the residents put a lot of effort in to keep them alive and here you will find many historic places worth seeing.
Highways in Arizona in the United States wind through the majestic desert landscape where you will find a diverse group of desert plants, wildlife and mountains. The main highways of Arizona are the I-17, I-19, I-40, I-8, I-10 and the I-15 with more being built every year to handle the increasing traffic congestion.
If traveling to Arizona, maps are available with all the highways marked to get you to the destination you are looking for. If time is not an issue, be sure to take the Historic Route 66 to see some of small towns where life takes you back to the 1950's.
