Animal Tracks: Scientific Name:
Phoca groenlandica
A fascinating sight of animal tracks taken from a helicopter above the ice floes on the Gulf of St Lawrence in the Atlantic of Canada. The tracks of the harp seals lead out from the occasional hole in the ice which the females use to access their young. This picture was taken during a visit to the ice floes by Heather and Paul McCartney and the Humane Society of the United States.
