The purpose of a recent visit to the ice floes on the Gulf of St Lawrence by Heather and Paul McCartney was to represent and maybe even rescue baby harp seals, an animal which is defenseless against the looming annual hunt. It is hard to believe that this harp seal pup will most likely soon be the target of a hakapik by a sealer.
In a bid to rescue this animal from the seal hunt, Heather and Paul McCartney visited the harp seals on the ice floes in Canada.
