During a visit to South East Alaska it is hard to miss the many glacier tours available. The options are endless. If you choose a boat trip you will see additional highlights such as waterfalls, wildlife and possibly even a glacier calving straight into the sea. A trip to a glacier by helicopter is a real buzz while you fly over massive icefields and then take a walk on the glacier itself and step over deep crevasses!
Other great options are by large or small cruise ship where you will have the opportunity to see large glaciers all from the comfort of your stateroom!
Kayaking or walking to some of the more accessible glaciers is also another adventurous and challenging option but well worth the effort.
